Mixed Media Description:

My mixed media work is rooted in a love of texture, layering, and physical depth. Each piece is built slowly and intuitively, combining oil and cold wax, encaustic processes, nuno felting, handmade and hand-dyed papers, typed words, and collected nature elements. The materials themselves guide the work — inviting touch, pause, and close looking.

Typed words and fragments of language are intentionally woven into the layers, partially revealed or obscured. These words act as anchors or whispers — offering inspiration without instruction, meaning without certainty. They are meant to be discovered rather than read at first glance.

Nature elements are added as collaborators. Dried florals, fibers, and organic textures become part of the structure itself, reinforcing themes of impermanence, resilience, and connection.
