Flora Blend Photography — Description:
I began working as a digital artist in 2006, drawn to the expressive potential of layering photography with texture and mixed media. Over time, this practice evolved into what I now call Flora Blend Photography — a process rooted in expression , intuition, and depth.
Each piece is built through hours of careful layering in Adobe Photoshop, combining my original photography with elements drawn from my mixed-media and oil painting practice. Rather than documenting flora as subject, I use it as a starting point — allowing texture, atmosphere, and emotion to shape the final image.
This body of work was presented as part of my solo exhibition, Dark Skies & Flora, at Gallery Vertigo in May 2025. The works emerge slowly, guided by feeling rather than formula, until something quiet, expressive, and uniquely its own reveals itself.
