I began painting with oils as a teenager, drawn early to landscape and a desire to translate place into feeling. After time away from the medium, I returned to oil painting for its depth, texture and the slow, atmospheric layering it allows.

Through glazes and softened forms, my work explores landscapes remembered and imagined — places I’ve moved through, lived near, or carried with me over time. I’m drawn to mood more than detail, allowing atmosphere, light, and emotional weight to guide each piece. I had my first solo exhibition, “Dark Skies & Flora” in May 2025 at Gallery Vertigo in Vernon, BC.
